And so, a new chapter beings
The preparations for this game began well before the bus left for Montreal. Players and parents (Vanasse, Taylor, Bussey) stepped up to provide 1/2 time and after game snacks and drinks. Our Head Coach and Trainers provided more “on the bus” snacks. Players arrived on time and fortunately we got on the correct bus. Thank you Leduc Bus lines.

It was unusually quiet on the bus on the trip to Laval. Thank you social media!
We arrived well in advance and were welcomed very well by all The Bulldog staff. The locker room was spacious and had showers which made the return trip air easier to breath.
The Game: First Half
The game started right on time and the Bulldogs kicked to the Norsemen. The kick off was returned about 60 yards by Kayden Vanasse (#1).

This set up a beautiful pass by Evan Lamar (#3) to Simon Taylor (#10) who scored the first TD for the Norsemen in the QMFL. The convert was quickly and perfectly done by Jack Williams (#4). Simon Taylor (#10) caught the well placed snaps from #1 and placed the ball perfectly for all kicks during the game.
Then the Bulldogs had possession and tied the game with a long pass. Game tied 7-7 at 9:47 of the first quarter.

After the kick off the Norsemen marched downfield for their 2nd TD by Joseph Bioletti (#14) which was converted again by #4. The Norsemen QB , Evan Lamar (#3), was already showing his exceptional poise and confidence and this continued throughout the game.

The defense then showed their strength when Bryce Sasseville (#24) intercepted a pass. Just afterward the Norsemen QB found Kinston Pappas in the end zone for another TD. Again converted by #4. Score Norsemen 21 – Bulldogs 7
The next interception was made by Liam West (#28) which was followed by a first down by #5 then subsequently on a short yard situation TC Thompson (#15) pushed through for another first down however the Norsemen then turned over the ball on downs. But Liam West made a great tackle and Karzan Kamal (#45) recovered the fumble. On the 4th down the Norsemen went for a field goal by #4 which was successful.

In the dying seconds of the first half #14 had a 30 yard reception and Jason Rugamba had a 40 yard run but it ended 24-7 for the Norsemen.
The 2nd Half
The second half it seemed there was little Bulldog bite left. Although the Norsemen received many penalties the Bulldogs made many turnovers.
A Norsemen kick was recovered on the Bulldog 5 yard line but penalties and their strong defense did not allow any points and the ball was turned over. Then (#24) intercepted a pass and ran for a TD which was converted.

On the kick off (#28) recovered the ball and after some good runs by different players Zev Boucher (#19) ran for a TD converted by #4. End of 3rd quarter Norsemen 38 – Bulldogs 7.

In the last quarter #14 had a 35 yard kick return and after back and forth the Norsemen held the Bulldogs deep in their end and on a play Murtada Albu-mohar (#31) tackled the m in their end for 2 pts. (rouge) at 5:46 of the 4th.
But the Bulldogs did not give up and earned another TD but could not convert. At 3:25 of the 4th quarter the score was Norsemen 40 – Bulldogs 13.

In the closing minutes #14 had another 45 yard kick off return and after the ball was turned over #28 caught the Bulldogs in their end zone for a point.

FINAL SCORE – Norsemen 41 – Bulldogs 13
