The Bel-Air Fall Classic is back

After a great first year, the Bel-Air Fall Classic Invitational returns on September 19, bringing together girls flag football teams in the U14, U16 and U18 divisions.

We’re looking forward to welcoming teams from Ottawa and across Ontario, Quebec and beyond for a full day of football, competition and a great tournament atmosphere.

Whether you’re a local club or travelling to Ottawa, the Fall Classic is a chance to get your team on the field, face new competition and be part of a growing girls flag football event.

A full day of girls flag football across three age divisions, with teams coming together from near and far.

Tournament Standings & Tiebreaker Rules

Standings

Teams are ranked by winning percentage.

Winning Percentage = (Wins + 0.5 × Ties) ÷ Games Played

  • Win = 2 pts
  • Tie = 1 pt
  • Loss = 0 pts
Tiebreakers

If teams have the same winning percentage:

  1. Head-to-Head Result
  2. Head-to-Head Points Against
  3. Overall Points Against
  4. Coin Toss
Multiple-Team Ties

For three or more tied teams, tiebreakers are applied using games between the tied teams.

Once a team is separated, the tiebreaker process restarts for the remaining tied teams.

Championship Structure

Each team will play three round-robin games, followed by one final based on its final round-robin seeding.

U14 — 4 Teams
  • Seed 1 vs Seed 2 — U14 Championship Final
  • Seed 3 vs Seed 4 — U14 3rd/4th Final
U16 — 8 Teams
  • Seed 1 vs Seed 2 — U16 Championship Final
  • Seed 3 vs Seed 4 — U16 3rd/4th Final
  • Seed 5 vs Seed 6 — U16 5th/6th Final
  • Seed 7 vs Seed 8 — U16 7th/8th Final
U18 — 8 Teams
  • Seed 1 vs Seed 2 — U18 Championship Final
  • Seed 3 vs Seed 4 — U18 3rd/4th Final
  • Seed 5 vs Seed 6 — U18 5th/6th Final
  • Seed 7 vs Seed 8 — U18 7th/8th Final

Every team will play one final, and every team will play a total of four games during the tournament.
